Entamoeba histolytica is a parasite that lives in colon without damaging its environment. But when it involves mucosa and submucosa, it may manifest clinical symptoms. In this report, a case of colon perforation which was a rare complication of intestinal amebiasis was presented, and intestinal amebiasis cases in the literature were reviewed in the light of current diagnosis and treatment strategies.
