Splenic infarct is an unusual altitude. Generally it arises from hemathologic diseases, vascular and thromboembolic disorders. In this article a 57 year old female with splenic infarction is presented. She was admitted to the hospital with abdominal pain, fever, nausea, vomiting, weakness. She was taking warfarin for the last 3 years due to chronic atrial fibrillation. Abdominal tenderness was found in left upper quadrant in physical examination. CT scans showed an infarcted area in the spleen. Splenectomy was applied. Pathologic examination revealed splenic tuberculosis (the) and the arteritis. We think that splenic infarction should not be forgetten and it should be put into the list of pre-diagnoses of cases with left upper quadrant abdominal pain under the predisposingfactors.
